The Opportunity…..

A 2 month temporary assignment has become available within their Sydney CBD office. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will support the collections team by managing a portfolio of overdue consumer mortgage accounts (up to 80 days in arrears). Key responsibilities include:

• Contacting customers to recover outstanding debts with professionalism and empathy
• Negotiating and setting up tailored repayment plans
• Monitoring ongoing agreements and following up where necessary
• Liaising with internal departments (Customer Service, Credit, Legal) and external parties to resolve issues
• Meeting KPIs within a collaborative and high-performing team

About You…..

To hit the ground running in this assignment, you’ll ideally bring:

• 18+ months’ experience in collections, preferably within financial services OR extensive experience in Customer Service within the financial services sector.
• Experience in managing overdue account discussions (advantageous but not essential)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Strong attention to detail and time management abilities
• A proactive and customer-centric mindset
