We are currently seeking two (2) permanent part-time Security Officers to support Woolworths Flemington and Woolworths North Melbourne. Hourly rates for this role are aligned with Level 1 of the Security Services Award.

This permanent part-time opportunity offers a dynamic and rewarding experience at a major Woolworths store. Your primary objective will be to discreetly deter theft, prevent loss, and support a safe shopping environment for both staff and customers.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide a customer service and safety presence at entries and points of payment maintaining an effective security presence.
• Perform visual surveillance to identify and deter theft, shoplifting, or suspicious activity.
• Provide swift and professional responses to incidents, supporting staff and emergency procedures as appropriate.
• Support adherence to Woolworths and CONSTANT operational, safety, and security protocols.
• Deliver respectful and professional assistance to staff, customers, and delivery teams during busy trading periods.
• Accurately complete electronic shift, incident, and compliance reports.
• Engage with management, emergency services, and wider security teams as needed.

Key requirements:

• Experience in retail security, loss prevention, logistics, or asset protection is highly regarded.
• Current security licence (VIC or appropriate state/territory equivalent).
• Nationally accredited First Aid and CPR certifications.
• Proficiency with CCTV, electronic access control, and reporting software.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong personal responsibility, able to work both independently and collaboratively in a diverse team.
• Ability to obtain or maintain any additional required checks (e.g., RSA, Working with Children Check).
