Position Available: Experienced Underground Heavy Diesel Mechanic - 8/6 Roster (Brisbane, Perth, Darwin, Alice Springs)

Falcon Contracting currently has exciting opportunities for Experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our team on an 8/6 rotating days and nights roster. You'll be working on underground mining equipment for a leading mining company.

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting mechanical repairs and maintenance on underground mining equipment

Demonstrating expertise in load & haul operations, with exposure to drill equipment being highly beneficial

Performing diagnostic assessments and utilising diagnostic programs effectively

Collaborating effectively within a team environment to achieve shared goals

Knowledge, skills and qualifications we’re looking for:

Previous experience with underground mining equipment - Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, Volvo, CAT

Australian recognized trade certification

Sandvik DD, DL, DS, DB (421 & 422) essential

Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance skills

Ability to obtain or hold a National Police Clearance issued within the last 6 months

Underground mining experience and familiarity with shift work

Background or training from OEMs highly regarded

Familiarity with diagnostic programs
