We're looking for a Podcast Coordinator to join CDAH!

We are a disabled people's organisation (DPO) based in the heart of Newcastle. As a DPO, we are run by and for people with disability. We are a purpose-driven organisation, guided by the vision of an inclusive and just society where people with disability have genuine voice, choice, and control. Our work is rooted in peer support, fostering empowerment and advocating for the rights of people with disability.

Our Disability Hub aims to change the way people think about disability and works towards shaping a more inclusive society through information sharing and education. This is delivered through in-person workshops and information sessions. The podcast acts as an overview of the information shared through these sessions, creating shared resources and learnings to the broader community.

The Role

We are seeking a Podcast Coordinator to support our Disability Hub Grant over the 2-year delivery period. Working 18 hours per week and reporting to the Disability Hub Coordinator, the Podcast Coordinator is responsible for:

Planning, recording, editing, and publishing one podcast episode per workshop

Coordinate with training facilitators, attendees, and the Project Coordinator to capture key themes and stories.

Ensuring podcasts are high quality, clear, and engaging for a broad audience.

Ensuring all podcasts are supported with written transcripts, captions, and accessible formats.

Working with the planning group to ensure content is inclusive, respectful, and representative of lived experiences of disability.

Collaborating with the communications team to promote episodes via social media, newsletters, and community channels.

Maintaining a production schedule aligned with monthly workshops.

Contributing to the project’s Learnings and Outcomes Report by documenting reach, downloads, feedback, and listener engagement.

Recording challenges, successes, and lessons learned in monthly planning group meetings.

Upskilling volunteers to undertake podcasting or related activities

All other duties as directed by the Disability Hub Coordinator

About You

You are someone with experience in podcasting, radio, or related media, and have a proven ability to deliver on projects. As a strong team player, you contribute to group outcomes and support others to succeed.

You enjoy working with diverse groups of people are motivated by social justice and the rights of people with disability. You value the unique skills and perspectives that others bring and actively look for opportunities to collaborate and grow together.

You will be a great fit for CDAH because you work in line with our values, vision, and purpose.
