About the Role

As the Event Coordinator, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of various events hosted by Expertise Events. You’ll play a hands-on role in coordinating event logistics, liaising with clients and venues, managing supplier communications, and ensuring a seamless on-site experience.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety in their work and is looking to build a long-term career in events.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate assigned events and provide support to clients throughout the planning and delivery process

Liaise with internal departments and suppliers to ensure all client needs are understood and fulfilled

Plan and coordinate arrangements for allocated groups, aiming for seamless execution and client satisfaction

Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and contribute to the development of new innovations and enhancements to existing services and products

Draft event signage and collateral

Liaise with venues to confirm logistics and operational requirements

Schedule and book key event services including cleaning, security, registration, and ticketing

Review custom stand applications and coordinate approval processes

Communicate with clients and guests to confirm their event requirements

Assist in basic warehouse and stock management for event materials

Assist the Operations Manager in preparing departmental policies, procedures, process maps, event guidelines, and service manuals during the pre-opening phase

Travel with the events team to venues across Sydney and interstate for setup, execution, and pack-down of events

Skills & Experience

Tertiary qualifications in events or a related field are valued but not essential.

Experience in customer service role, preferably within events, hospitality, retail, or similar client-facing environments

Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, suppliers, and teammates

Experience with Event Management Systems or CRMs (desirable, but not required)
