Stockman's Restaurant & Bar in Tamworth is looking for an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our team, drive service excellence, and help shape the next chapter of a respected local venue.
As Restaurant Manager, you'll oversee the daily operations of our restaurant and bar — leading from the front, developing your team, and ensuring that every guest enjoys a genuine and memorable dining experience. You'll work closely with the Head Chef on menu planning, rosters, and supplier coordination to maintain consistency, quality, and profitability across the business.
This role suits an organised, confident hospitality professional with strong leadership, communication, and business management skills. You'll combine your operational experience with a commercial mindset — interpreting financial reports, managing costs, and providing regular performance updates to ownership.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, train, and motivate the front-of-house team to deliver outstanding service.
Maintain a strong, visible leadership presence during service.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on menus, rostering, supplier management, and operational planning.
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Oversee daily operations, bookings, and staffing to maintain smooth service flow.
Review and interpret financial reports (P&L, wage %, COGS) and prepare weekly/monthly updates for ownership.
Support the coordination of functions, events, and local promotions.
Build community relationships and contribute to local marketing and PR initiatives.
Ensure compliance with RSA, WHS, and food safety standards at all times.
About You
Proven experience in restaurant management or senior front-of-house leadership.
Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management experience is required.
Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
Organised, proactive, and hands-on with a passion for service quality.
Commercially minded and confident reading and interpreting financial reports.
Experience with hospitality systems (Square, OpenTable, Tanda, or similar) — essential; training provided for specific platforms.
Food Handlers Certificate – required.
RSA – required.
First Aid and Food Safety Supervisor certifications – highly regarded.
Accredited training in Leadership and Management – preferred.
