The Position
We are seeking a female Support Worker to join our supportive and growing team to work with participants within our organisation across Melbourne. We have participants in various locations around the Melbourne and in the outer suburbs of Melbourne (Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Melbourne).
The participant we are specifically hiring for has specified that they are looking for a female support worker around the South Melbourne area, who is preferably is fluent in Japanese.
The position also has the added bonus of further opportunities and growth within the organisation and field.
Positions available for day, morning, afternoon, early evening, sleep overs, and weekends. The hours are dependent on participant needs.
Qualifications & experience
Demonstrated knowledge of disability and mental health.
Experience in the Support Worker or Disability Field
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain)
Victorian Driver's license and vehicle
NDIS worker Screening Check (willing to obtain)
Demonstrates knowledge in Forensic.
Minimum 2 years experience.
Demonstrates clear English speaking skills.
Experience with ABI preferred.

Tasks & responsibilities
Work with people who have varying needs with a variety of disabilities.
Flexible work arrangements around peoples’ individual needs, including shift times/days, personal care tasks and manual handling.
You may need to undergo additional training such has manual handling, medication training etc.
