About the Role

We believe everyone deserves to live their best life with dignity, choice, and independence. Founded by health professionals with over a decade of disability services experience, we're more than just a support provider, we're champions and partners in empowering people with disabilities across Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.

This is a specialised position supporting multiple participants with physical, psychosocial and intellectual disability, autism, epilepsy, anxiety, and depression in the Cornubia, 4130 and northern Gold Coast areas. The role primarily involves supporting a young woman with daily living tasks including cleaning, shopping, meal preparation, attending appointments, and building independence skills.

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our growing family of passionate professionals in this unique, person-centred role. You'll provide holistic support, focusing on building independence, community participation, and maintaining a calm, structured approach to daily living.

You'll play a vital role in empowering participants through skill development, household support, and compassionate care, helping participants live their best life in their own home and within their community.

What You Will Be Doing

Assisting with daily living activities including personal care, house cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation in a supportive and empowering manner

Accompanying participants to and from appointments, social events, and community activities while promoting independence and confidence

Implementing individualised support plans using our digital client profiles, with particular attention to psychosocial needs, anxiety management, and seizure protocols

Supporting skill development and capacity building to enhance independence in daily life and community participation

Facilitating meaningful activities and community engagement that align with the participant's interests and goals

Providing patient, calm, and trauma-informed support for someone with lived experience of psychosocial disability, intellectual disability, autism, epilepsy, anxiety, and depression

Recognising and responding appropriately to triggers, behavioural changes, and seizure activity with confidence and compassion

Championing the participant's rights and promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing through respectful, person-centred interactions

Maintaining detailed records and communicating effectively with family members and the broader care team

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards while delivering specialised, holistic care

Supporting participants' preferences for an organised, clean home environment and daily routines

Minimum Requirements

Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid and CPR Certificate

National Police Check

Working with Children Check

Drivers Licence with reliable vehicle

Demonstrated experience supporting people with psychosocial disability, intellectual disability, austism and epilepsy

What we Offer

Comprehensive training and ongoing professional development

Access to our innovative digital client profile system

Supportive team environment with 24/7 backup

Opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives

Work with a values-driven, health professional-led organisation
