Support Worker – ABI & Mental Health

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing day-to-day support for clients living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and mental health needs. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, empathetic, and committed to promoting independence and quality of life. Reliability and consistency are essential in this position, with shifts scheduled during the day.

About the role:

To support the participants in home and out in the community.

To know and understand the care and support of the participant

To undertake the tasks detailed in the participants’ Care Plan using a person-centered approach and in the least intrusive way

To assists in household duties such as cleaning, laundry, cooking.

To take responsibility for the safe handling of property and equipment belonging to the participants

To maintain good communication and develop effective working relationships with participants

Job Details:

Qualification Requirement: Cert 3 in Disability / Individual Support

Minimum 1 year experience as Mental Health Support Worker

Experience working with ABI is essential

Medication management

Skills : Communication, Proactive, Leadership

Pay: Competitive rates based on SCHADS

Expected Hours: Mid-week day shifts

Minimum availability 4-5 shifts per week

Required Licenses/Certifications: Full Driving Licence, Working with Children Check, NDIS Workers Screening, Police Check, First Aid and CPR

Work Authorization: Australia (Required)
