Kids Gourmet Food is a volume catering business and the National leading provider of prepared meals to the childcare industry in Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne. We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager with a passion for Quality and Food Safety, who likes early starts - 6am Monday to Friday.

About the Role: Responsibilities

Leading the site in all areas of Food Safety & Quality, ensuring the site remains compliant with regulatory, certification/customer standards and internal policies.

Oversee and maintain the company’s food safety and quality management systems.

Investigation and resolution of customer complaints and NCRs regarding food quality and safety.

Coordinating the QA/QC verification activities.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.

Conduct internal audits and manage third-party audits.

Train staff on food safety protocols and best practices.

Provide technical support and guidance on product safety, labelling, and shelf-life.

Develop and update SOPs, and other key documentation.

Maintaining and coordinating supplier relationships, specifications and certifications.

Managing QA responsibilities in relation to site NPD projects and trials.

About You: Demonstrated Capabilities

Tertiary qualification in Food Science.

A minimum of 5 years' experience within the Food or Beverage industry.

Knowledge and understanding of Australian food regulations.

Able to work autonomously, and collaborate well in a team.

Experience in performing quality control testing of fresh and frozen products including packaging assessments.

Excellent verbal and written skills. With the ability to adapt style for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experienced in internal auditing, technical investigations and report writing.

Demonstrated understanding of ISO standards and HACCP requirements in food processing.
