About the role (Temporary Full Time up to 12 months with possibility of ongoing employment):
The Senior Property Officer administers and coordinates the building maintenance, asset management and cleaning programs and operations for the heritage listed NSW Parliament located on Macquarie St Sydney, to effectively maintain the built environment and safe operation of the heritage listed NSW Parliament.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Our office is found close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street CBD, next to the State Library and Sydney’s Botanic Gardens.

You thrive in heritage environments and understand the importance of balancing operational efficiency with preservation. With excellent coordination and communication skills, you’re confident managing contractors, leading teams, and ensuring compliance with building standards. You’re comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and working collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders. You take pride in delivering high-quality service and maintaining safe, functional, and historically significant spaces.
