We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role is based in Brisbane’s CBD and offers the flexibility of a hybrid working environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team across compliance, reporting and payroll. You’ll be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your contribution will directly support the smooth running of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process monthly and fortnightly payroll, including superannuation reconciliation and payment.

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in management reporting.

Prepare costing reports and variance analysis.

Assist with BAS, IAS, payroll tax, workers compensation and other statutory compliance requirements.

Support budgeting, cashflow management, and financial analysis.

Assist with the audit program.

About You

3–5 years’ experience in accounting roles, with strong knowledge of payroll, reconciliations, and compliance.

Advanced Excel and solid Microsoft Office skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with high attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
