Since 1987, Bright Automotive & Towing Pty Ltd has proudly served the Alpine region, providing trusted RACV Emergency Roadside Assistance and accident towing. From the snowy peaks of Mt Hotham, Dinner Plain & Falls Creek, through to the valleys of Bright, Buckland and Kiewa – our team thrives in every season and every condition.

The Role – Roadside Patrol

As the face of RACV in Bright, you'll be the go-to problem solver for members in need. Whether it's diagnosing and fixing minor faults on the spot or safely towing a vehicle, you'll bring relief, reassurance, and a smile to drivers when they need it most.

To provide fast and reliable service, you'll need to live within 30–40km of Bright.

What You'll Bring

A motor trade qualification (or strong experience in the industry)

Minimum 2-3 years of automotive industry experience is required if no formal qualification is held

Solid diagnostic & problem-solving skills

Solid diagnostic & problem-solving skills with experience using automotive diagnostic equipment (preferred)

A professional, customer-focused attitude (with a friendly smile)

MR licence & full Australian driver's licence

Reliability, initiative and the ability to work solo and in a team

Availability to work weekends, including every second weekend as part of a rotating roster

Willingness to participate in an after-hours roster

Permanent right to work in Australia

(High-quality 3rd or 4th year apprentices are welcome to apply.)

What You'll Do

Provide roadside assistance & towing for RACV members

Carry out fault diagnosis & minor repairs

Deliver outstanding customer service & reassurance in tricky situations

Maintain our fleet to the highest standards

Assist in the workshop

Uphold workplace safety at all times
