About the Role:
We're looking for a dedicated Family Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide non-clinical therapeutic support to individuals, families and groups experiencing social, emotional and/or financial challenges.
This is a permanent Part-time role offering 30.4 hours a week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting intake assessments, including risk and safety planning
- Developing and delivering family support plans and referrals
- Providing outreach services (e.g. school or home visits)
- Supporting individuals and families to develop life skills and strengthen relationships
- Liaising with child protection, youth justice and community agencies
- Maintaining accurate records, case notes and reports
This role is based in Toowoomba and may require travel across the service region.
Required Credentials & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Community Services or equivalent
- Current National Police Check
- Valid QLD Blue Card (Working with Children)
- Current QLD Driver Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- Strong communication, assessment and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and client databases
