About the role
As our Breakfast Junior Sous Chef, you'll lead a team to deliver our signature breakfast experience and exclusive club lounge offerings. You’ll support our talented kitchen team in delivering exceptional catering for meetings, events, and our signature restaurant as needed. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Assisting in the management of food and labour costs, and develop strategies to reduce costs and wastage
Leading, inspiring and mentoring our kitchen team
Sharing your exceptional cooking skills with the kitchen team and guests to create a memorable dining experience
Establishing local supplier relationships and maintaining a strong relationship with existing suppliers
Managing and maintaining a clean, safe & hygienic working environment
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in a hotel environment running sections within breakfast or events.
Ability to lead a team with a key focus on customer satisfaction
A true passion for cooking and culinary excellence
Dedication to upholding the highest standards and inspiring others to do the same
Strong mentoring skills to develop and elevate junior chefs
Flexibility to rotate across breakfast, events, and other culinary areas as needed
Ability to start work at 5:00am in the morning.
