Roster: 5D:2R Monday - Friday (Regular FIFO site work where required, at times can be short notice)

Goldfields Explosives is seeking a skilled Truck / Heavy Transport mechanic to join our experienced maintenance team based predominantly in/out of Muchea, 45kms north-east of Perth with occasional travel to mine sites.

We are looking for a fully qualified trades persons with the following:

Experience with Volvo, UD, Kenworth, Scania trucks

Experience with repairs on flat top, drop deck and tag trailers

Experience changing brake boosters, wheel bearings, hubs, air bags and general servicing

Experience with diagnostics, problem solving and welding is highly desirable

Ability to provide leadership and knowledge to apprentices

A strong, positive attitude to work safely in a team environment

Must reside in Western Australian. Preferably NORTH of the RIVER for easy access to our workshop in Muchea

Full Australian Working Rights

Qualifications and skills required:

Australian recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Technology or similar

Minimum 2 years of post-trade experience, working unsupervised

WA C Class Manual Driver's Licence minimum (HR licence desirable)

Experience in the mining or road transport industry desirable

Ability to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC) – Essential

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical - including Drug & Alcohol

National Police Clearance
