Kids Sports Psychologist (Telehealth – Contractor)
Contract: Independent contractor (ABN)
Location: Remote Australia – Telehealth only
Rates: Competitive contractor session rates (negotiable)

We’re seeking an experienced Psychologist with a passion for supporting children and adolescents in sport. In this contractor role, you’ll work exclusively via telehealth, providing evidence-based mental performance and wellbeing support to kids aged 6–18.
What you’ll do
Provide 1:1 telehealth sessions for young athletes to build confidence, manage performance anxiety, and enhance focus and motivation.
Deliver practical strategies — goal setting, mental preparation, arousal regulation, imagery, self-talk and resilience training.
Work collaboratively with families, coaches, and allied health professionals (virtually).
Maintain accurate records and short progress reports.
Promote positive mental health and performance in sport environments.
About you
AHPRA-registered Psychologist (General or with Sport & Exercise endorsement).
Strong background working with children and adolescents.
Knowledge and/or experience in sports psychology, performance coaching, or similar fields.
Skilled in CBT/ACT or similar approaches adapted for young people.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage online.
Compliance
Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), National Police Check, and professional indemnity insurance.
ABN and eligibility to work as a contractor.
Medicare provider number desirable but not essential.
Stable telehealth setup (camera, microphone, private space, good internet).
