Long Jetty Pre-School Inc. (est. 1987) is a 39-place community based, child safe not-for-profit Pre-School located on the NSW Central Coast, on Darkinung land.

We operate 8.15am to 3.45pm Monday to Friday during school terms and close for the NSW school holidays therefore you will enjoy paid school holidays (non-term time).

Our purpose built service is surrounded by local parkland and melaleuca trees. Our rich learning environments provide opportunities for the children to be competent and capable learners. Through our play based curriculum we extend and support children’s holistic development.

Our valued team of educators strive for best practice by focusing on respectful relationships with each other, the children, their families and the community.

We are managed and supported by our dedicated Management Committee.

This Diploma Educator position is an excellent opportunity for a Diploma qualified Educator to work alongside our highly motivated and dedicated team, with a focus on equity, inclusion and cultural safety for all in our Child Safe Service.

Essential Criteria:

· Current NSW Working with Children Check.

· ACECQA recognised Diploma (Early Childhood Education & Care)

· Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (including Anaphylaxis & Asthma Certificates) recognised by ACQCQA.

· Child Protection training.

· Thorough knowledge & understanding of the following: The National Quality Framework, The Education and Care Services National Law (2010), The Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), and The Early Years Learning Framework (version 2).

· Contact details for 2 current (within the last 2 years) professional early childhood referees

· 2 years or more experience as a Diploma Qualified Educator including leadership experience in an Early Childhood Education and Care service. This role involves working across the whole service.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Competent at writing individual children’s assessments of learning and required documentation.

· Competent level of computer literacy and knowledge (with Apple Mac Systems) of Microsoft Office 365 including TEAMS.
