About the role
In this rewarding role, you’ll make a real difference in the lives of older Australians by supporting them to continue living independently in the comfort of their own homes. Every day brings the opportunity to build meaningful connections and provide practical, heartfelt support that helps clients live life to the fullest.
As part of your role, you will assist with:
- Accessing the community – shopping, activities, and appointments
- Personal cares, including showering and self-care
- Domestic assistance
- Supporting mobility and transfers
- Assisting with medication
- Providing meaningful companionship and social support, helping clients feel connected and live a fulfilling life at home
About you
You’re passionate about empowering older Australians to maintain their independence and live confidently in their own homes. You bring empathy, reliability, and strong communication skills, along with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
In addition, you will have:
- Certificate III in Aged, Community, or Disability Care
- Flexibility to work a minimum of three weekdays per week between the hours of 7AM and 6PM
- Previous experience working as a community support worker is highly desired, but not essential
- Excellent communication skills, including literacy and numeracy skills
- A current Driver’s License
- A roadworthy vehicle registered in WA and covered by Third-Party/Comprehensive insurance
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
