At Finore Mining Solutions Pty Ltd, we are committed to innovation and excellence in geology and mining. We offer an exciting opportunity to be part of our team, and help the company redefine success in resource management.

Working either an 8 days on, 6 days off roster, or 2 weeks on 2 weeks off roster depending on your preference and departing from Perth you will be working in an operational mine geology team as our lead Project Geologist. Once onsite you are accommodated in an established camp with gym, multipurpose courts, and ensuite rooms.

The Role

Reporting to the Geology Manager, the Project Geologist is responsible for the following:

Own, coordinate and execute all geology Grade Control modelling and assist with related drilling activities in a proactive, and efficient manner.

Design and oversee resource development programs around historical mines.

Provide mentorship and coaching to Mine Geologists and Field Staff to build a great team culture.

Contribute to short, medium and long-term (LOM) schedules and models to assist in optimising mine plans.

Ideal candidates will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Geology

Minimum 5 years relevant experience in the mining industry.

Proven experience managing drill rigs, RC and diamond drilling.

Strong geological logging and 3D interpretation skills

Solid understanding of mineral systems concepts, target generation & project review skills

Capability in interpreting multi-element geochemistry along with structural geology.

Computer literacy – 3D Modelling Software such as Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine and Microsoft Office, Logging software, GIS packages.

Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers License – manual license is preferred.
