About the Role

Deacam Engineering is an established electrical and industrial refrigeration company experiencing rapid growth in its refrigeration department.

We’re seeking an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Technician to join our team based in Eastern Melbourne. The role offers a diverse mix of fixed-plant maintenance and repairs, combined with design and construction of new and bespoke refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial sites in Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, and regional Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial refrigeration systems

Diagnose and rectify faults in process cooling and mechanical refrigeration systems

Undertake plant upgrades, rebuilds, and component replacements

Assist in the design, fabrication, and installation of new and custom refrigeration systems

Work directly with clients to provide expert advice and service solutions

Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards

About You

Certificate III or higher qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Industrial) or equivalent

Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration or process cooling

Experience in food and beverage manufacturing environments is highly regarded

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Professional communication and customer service skills

Current driver’s license (company vehicle provided)
