About the Role:
We’re seeking a Learning Support Specialist Tutor to deliver high-impact, evidence-based literacy intervention sessions, as well as a Developmental Therapist to deliver therapeutic supports to enhance children's communication, social and cognitive skills through tailored interventions in a telehealth setting.
Both remote roles offer flexible scheduling, with required availability between 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM weekdays. Weekend hours are available (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM) which is highly regarded and also optional morning (7:00 AM – 8:30 AM) hours are available. A minimum commitment of 15 hours per week is required.
This position is ideal for:
Teachers, Developmental Educators, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Rehabilitation Counsellors or individuals with proven experience supporting children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured, one-on-one tutoring sessions aligned with best practices in literacy instruction or therapeutic supports for children with disabilities or developmental challenges.
Use phonics-based, multi-sensory techniques backed by the science of reading.
Support students with intensive intervention needs (Tier 3 in MTSS framework).
Adapt sessions to individual student needs and learning profiles.
Communicate regularly with families and the team.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to ongoing support planning.
What You’ll Need:
✔ Minimum 2 years of experience in education, tutoring, or child-focused support
✔ Experience in literacy intervention (or willingness to complete our training)
✔ Strong communication and rapport-building skills
✔ A genuine passion for working with children with learning differences
✔ Must be available weekdays from 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM to complete our training
Highly Regarded:
Professional Registration
Experience with Dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties
Knowledge of phonics, multi-sensory learning, and science of reading frameworks
Experience in Tier 3 intervention (MTSS)
Hours & Flexibility:
Weekdays (highly regarded): 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Weekend availability (highly regarded): 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Weekday mornings (highly regarded): 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM
Minimum commitment: 15 hours/week
