This position sits within a Family Support Program with a special focus on working alongside CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) families, strengthening connections and promoting safe, nurturing environments for children and parents.
Our client is a well-respected not-for-profit organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for children, young people and families. They offer flexibility, supportive leadership, and access to on-going professional development.
This role will involve:
- Provide case management support to families experiencing vulnerability, with a focus on early intervention and capacity building
- Deliver culturally responsive and trauma-informed support to CALD families, promoting family safety and wellbeing
- Conduct home visits and risk assessments, identifying family strengths and areas of concern
- Work collaboratively with parents, children, and community networks to achieve case plan goals
- Liaise with external stakeholders including schools, health professionals, and community organisations to enhance family support outcomes
- Maintain accurate, strengths-based case notes and reports within required timeframes
The requirements for this role include:
- Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Services or a related discipline
- Experience providing case management or family support to CALD communities (essential)
- Bilingual in Arabic or Persian (highly desirable)
- Strong understanding of early intervention frameworks, family functioning, and child protection principles
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Current Driver’s Licence and WWCC (Working With Children Check)
Case managers in this program are required to work on-site, out in the community and in the homes of families. This is an inherent requirement of the role.
