About the role

Scotty's - The Movers! is seeking an honest, reliable Furniture Removalist and Driver, with integrity, to join our team in Tingalpa, QLD. This is a casual role. The business operates Monday to Saturday and it is expected that candidates be available to fill shifts on any of these days however there is flexibility to organise days off as needed.

As a Furniture Removalist and Driver, you will be responsible for the safe transport and handling of our customers' belongings, ensuring a smooth and stress-free moving experience.

The job description:

You will work as a part of a 2 or 3 man crew moving customers goods, in a timely and efficient manner, from point A to point B without damaging the property, the goods being moved or yourself!

What you'll be doing

Safely loading, transporting, and unloading furniture and other household items

Carefully wrapping and packing items to prevent damage

Driving the moving truck to and from customer locations

Providing excellent customer service throughout the moving process

Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the moving truck

Assisting with the set-up and arrangement of furniture at the new location

Reporting any issues or concerns to the team

What we're looking for

Experience in furniture removals or a similar role is an advantage however, a fit strong individual, with a friendly nature, who is spatially aware, and able to take the stress off the customer by confidently solving logistical problems is the person we are looking for.

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team

Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry heavy items

A valid Medium Rigid (or higher) driver's licence

Attention to detail and a commitment to providing a high-quality service

Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including finishing times that may vary from day to day. Availability to work most Saturdays is required
