About the Organisation

Melbourne Park is elevating cyber resilience while modernising core infrastructure, data platforms and networks to support world-class events and experiences.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Technology & Systems, you will be the precinct's dedicated security authority, safeguarding Melbourne Park's environment and embedding security into all capital technology projects. You'll ensure infrastructure, data platforms and enterprise systems are designed, delivered and operated securely; lead security operations, monitoring and incident response (in partnership with the MSSP); drive compliance with relevant frameworks (e.g. VPDSS); and lift security culture, policies and controls across programs including the Unified Data Platform, Customer Data Platform and network modernisation.

Key Accountabilities

Set the precinct security strategy, policies and controls

Embed security-by-design across programs and projects

Oversee SOC/MSSP performance and continuous improvement

Lead threat management, IR playbooks and post-incident learning

Govern compliance and risk (incl. government standards)

Provide expert advice, assurance and security architecture input

Build awareness, training and secure ways of working

Report transparently on posture, risks and remediation

About You

Senior security leader across complex or regulated environments

Strong background in operations, incident response and GRC

Practical experience with modern data, platform and network stacks

Ability to influence delivery teams without slowing progress

Vendor and stakeholder management finesse; crisp reporting

Values-driven, collaborative and customer-focused
