Summer Hill Village Vet is an independently owned, vet-run small-animal clinic in Sydney's Inner West. We pride ourselves on kind medicine, loyal clients, and a supportive, close-knit team culture. Our practice is equipped for consulting, dentistry, imaging, and medicine, with visiting specialists and experienced veterinary nurses providing strong clinical support.
The Role
We are seeking a compassionate Veterinarian to join our team on a full-time basis.
Typical shift of 38 hours per week (4 weekdays and every 2nd Saturday) with no Sundays and no after-hours.
You will provide high-quality diagnostic, medical, and dental care to small animals in a collaborative environment that values mentorship and work–life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Examine, diagnose, and treat small-animal patients for illness, injury, and preventative care.
Perform or assist with dental and surgical procedures.
Prescribe and administer medications and vaccinations.
Maintain accurate clinical and patient records.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients regarding treatment plans.
Contribute to mentoring of junior vets and support staff.
Skills and Qualifications Required
Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent, recognised by the Veterinary Practitioners Board of NSW.
Registration (or eligibility for registration) as a veterinarian in NSW.
Minimum 2 years' experience in small-animal practice
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
