Permanent Part Time

$40 – $60 per hour

Commencing: End of Term 4, 2025

C&K Kippa Ring Kindergarten & Preschool is a community kindergarten situated in a quiet location on the Redcliffe Peninsular. We are a single unit centre, catering for 2 groups of children with a maximum of 22 in each group. We run 2 groups weekly, during QLD school terms:

Blue Group program hours - Monday to Wednesday from 8:50am – 2:00pm

Yellow Group program hours - Thursday to Friday 8:15am – 4:00pm

Hours of work: 38.75 per fortnight Thursday - Friday approx. 7.45am-4.45pm (negotiable)

Total fortnight hours 38.75hrs

About the role:

Kippa Ring Kindergarten has a permanent part-time position available for an experienced Early Childhood Professional to join the Kindergarten as the Teacher for our Yellow Group.

This role will see you being part of a Community Kindergarten which supports the local community’s families and children. You will be working in a small, passionate and dedicated team.

The role is a highly respected position in the Kindergarten and local community and provides:

This Position:

For this teaching position, we are looking for someone who is a self-starter, passionate about community and has a creative vision. You must be committed to continuous improvement through a collaborative approach with colleagues, community, families and children.

As the Teacher, you will have the ability to document and assess children's learning and development. Model and support the room educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies, including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.

Ideal applicants will have:

Bachelor's Degree in early childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)

Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers prior to appointment. This registration must be renewed annually

Willingness to potentially undertake the role of educational leader and nominated supervisor, additional hours would be provided.

Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF")

Current paid or Exemption Blue Card

Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training

An understanding of the provision of a safe, well-planned indoor and outdoor learning environment

An ability to document observations of children's behaviour and development

An ability to implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met

Demonstrated experience managing, mentoring and supporting early childhood education and care services/programs to deliver high-quality outcomes, and in building a capable and engaged workforce.

Evidence of sound professional experience that shows initiative and a strong sense of personal responsibility for meeting objectives, modelling of professional and ethical behaviour, commitment to personal development, and display of courage in the provision of advice and decision making.

Computer literacy essential – StoryPark, Word, Excel and related office applications etc.

Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication skills and high-level interpersonal skills, including a capacity to develop positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
