As a Pool Attendant at the Mungindi Community Pool, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the facility. This casual position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the community by maintaining a welcoming and secure environment for pool users.

Responsibilities include:

• Monitor pool areas to ensure the safety of all patrons.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain order and prevent accidents.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks to uphold the cleanliness and functionality of the pool facilities.
• Provide friendly and helpful customer service, addressing inquiries and offering assistance as needed.
• Conduct regular checks on pool equipment to identify any issues or hazards, reporting maintenance needs promptly.

As our Pool Attendant, you will bring a strong work ethic, a friendly and approachable nature, and a genuine enthusiasm for engaging with people of all ages. You enjoy being part of the Mungindi community and take pride in creating a safe, welcoming and positive experience for visitors.

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, resourceful and able to work independently as the sole operator on shift, while also contributing positively when working with others. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential, along with the ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure or emergency situations. Flexibility to work weekends is also required.

Council will fund and organise all required lifeguard training and certification, so you don’t need to be qualified yet – we just need the right person with the right attitude. You will also need to either hold or be willing to obtain:

First Aid Certificate

NSW Class C Driver Licence

NSW Working with Children Check
