As our services expand, we are seeking a motivated and personable GP Liaison / Business Development Officer to strengthen our relationships with referring doctors and promote our growing surgical service.

About the Role

This role offers the opportunity to combine relationship-building with strategic business development. You will act as the key link between Springwood Day Surgery and the GP community, ensuring smooth communication, efficient referral pathways, and ongoing professional engagement.

Working closely with the Directors, you will also contribute to marketing initiatives, business growth, and community visibility.

Key Responsibilities

GP Liaison

Build, maintain, and expand referral relationships with local GPs, specialists, and allied health professionals

Conduct regular GP practice visits and provide service information and updates

Coordinate GP education sessions, newsletters, and feedback initiatives

Manage ongoing communication to ensure referring doctors receive high-quality service and support

Business Development

Identify growth opportunities for the Day Surgery and assist with new service promotion

Develop and execute local marketing and outreach strategies

Represent the surgery at community and professional networking events

Track referral trends and report outcomes to the Directors

Support digital marketing and promotional content (social media, website, newsletters)

About You

You are energetic, well-organised, and enjoy engaging with medical professionals and community stakeholders. You thrive on relationship-building and have a professional yet approachable style.

Essential Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to develop and maintain professional networks

Strong organisational and reporting skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms

Current driver’s licence (local travel required)

Desirable

Experience in GP liaison, healthcare marketing, or business development

Qualifications in business, marketing, communications, or health administration

Familiarity with medical software (Shexie, Genie, or Bluechip)
