About the Role
RN3 We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Nurse Consultant (Mental Health) to join our dedicated team, where you’ll play a key role in shaping the quality and direction of mental health care. In this rewarding position, you’ll provide expert clinical guidance and leadership within your team or unit, working hands-on with consumers to deliver person-centred, recovery-focused care. You’ll have the opportunity to share your expertise with colleagues, guide best practice, and lead initiatives that enhance outcomes for consumers and families across our community.
As a Nurse Consultant, you’ll contribute to a collaborative, supportive, and forward-thinking environment grounded in the values of SA Health and the principles of the National Mental Health Policy and Standards. You’ll oversee comprehensive mental health nursing care, provide education and counselling, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams and community organisations to ensure the best possible recovery journey for each consumer. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a lasting impact—supporting people to live well, empowering teams, and shaping the future of mental health care in South Australia.
AHP3 We’re seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Triage Senior Clinician to join our dedicated Mental Health Clinical Program. This pivotal role is ideal for a skilled clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to supporting youth, adults, and older people across a diverse range of services — from emergency and acute inpatient care through to community and rehabilitation support. As part of our leadership team, you’ll work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist and Team Manager to ensure the triage team delivers high-quality, recovery-oriented care. Your leadership will help guide multidisciplinary clinicians toward best practice, promoting least restrictive interventions and timely, appropriate referrals that support positive outcomes for consumers and their families.
In this role, you’ll play an essential part in shaping the standard of mental health triage services through clinical excellence, collaboration, and innovation. You’ll oversee daily clinical processes, ensure consistency between policy and practice, and foster a culture of teamwork, learning, and respect. Working within a supportive environment that values professional growth and consumer wellbeing, you’ll also contribute to the sector’s strategic and operational goals—making a meaningful impact on how mental health care is delivered across our community.
