Join the expanding Whittley Marine Group team and work for Australia’s leading trailer-able fiberglass boat builder, from the Melbourne dealership, located right next door to the manufacturing factory in Campbellfield, VIC.

Whittley Boats was started back in 1953 by Jim Whittley, today Whittley is the market leader and largest Australian producer of trailerable fiberglass boats. The Group own its in-house dealerships which offer both sales and service for the brand in Perth, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney and the Gold Coast.

As Marine Mechanic / Technician you would be working on the latest Whittley boats with Honda & Mercury Marine outboard motors, Volvo Penta stern drives, Mackay trailers, Simrad electronics & more!. The role involves general servicing, repairs, warranty and insurance work along with accessory fitting.

Whittley Marine Group service department requires the successful candidate to complete work from our dealership workshop bays. You will also carry out work off-site at various locations inclusive of marinas, dry stack facilities and yacht clubs.

Requirements:
- Marine Mechanic / Technician qualification or equivalent experience
- Boat fit-up and re-power experience
- Ability to work alone and unsupervised
- Assist the Sales and Service Manager
- Hard working attitude
- Boat and car driver’s license
- Industry experience
- Present professionally
- Good communication skills

Daily Task’s:
- Complete Engine, Boat, Trailer service jobs
- Assist Whittley and partner suppliers with warranty work
- Conduct marine insurance repair work
- Fit and commission boat accessories to trailer boats
- Assist in unpacking of new boats
- Pre-delivery checks of new boat, motors and trailers
- Fit-out of Whittley AL Series boats
- Re-powers of Outboards and Sterndrives

All applicants must have a passion for boating and the marine service industry. Whittley Marine Group as a national OEM also offer training on all the latest products from various suppliers. Opportunities also exist at other locations and scope for advancement.

Remuneration details are negotiable based on industry skill and experience level.
