This long-term initiative is focused on simplifying and modernising systems by consolidating multiple legacy platforms into one cutting-edge digital solution used by thousands of customer-facing staff.

You’ll join an established engineering team delivering a high-profile Digital Banker platform project – built with React, Node.js, and modern cloud-native tools – as part of an enterprise-wide simplification and innovation program.

What You’ll Do

• Build, maintain, and scale high-performance web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs following OpenAPI/Swagger standards.
• Deliver reusable, secure, and maintainable code that drives staff efficiency and customer outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with UX, DevOps, and Product teams within cross-functional Agile squads.
• Participate in code reviews, sprints, and architecture discussions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement through automation, CI/CD, and cloud adoption.
• Coach and mentor engineers, contributing to a culture of technical excellence.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you’ll:

• Drive key technical initiatives across large, complex enterprise environments.
• Mentor and guide engineers across multiple squads.
• Provide technical direction, best-practice standards, and architectural input.
• Influence decisions that shape the future of enterprise technology delivery.

What You’ll Bring

• 6+ years’ experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Senior Software Engineer within enterprise-scale systems.
• Proven technical depth in React, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern UI frameworks (Redux, Next.js).
• Experience integrating cloud services (SaaS / AWS / Azure).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions, and exposure to SonarQube, Bitbucket, and PowerShell.
• Understanding of application architecture design patterns, testing automation, and Agile methodologies (JIRA, Confluence).
• Excellent debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams.

Desirable

• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing frameworks.
• Exposure to test automation tools (Jest, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
• Experience working with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure-as-code.
• Proven experience working in Agile teams using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
