ABOUT THE POSITION

Proposed salary: 75K to 85K plus superannuation depending on your experience

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the Shift Production Engineer/Manager is responsible for driving performance on the production floor, whilst also ensuring WH&S and Food safety requirements are met. To succeed it will be critical the incumbent can manage and lead successful teams.

Key responsibilities include:

Hands on leadership of the floor operations on shifts for process improvement

Work collaboratively with logistics in production planning.

Work collaboratively with both technical and maintenance teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently using Lean tools.

Work collaboratively with HR and QA regarding employee recruitment and training with focus on process improvement and standardization of training

Conduct effective regular production team meetings to review performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Identification of production line improvement opportunities and implement process solutions.

Use critical thinking techniques to positively influence the result.

Assist with onboarding new employees and encourage growth and multi skilling teams tied to productivity optimization

Create and maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain the weekly rostering and timesheet software for all production staff.

integrate food safety and quality assurance principles into process design and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

What we need from you:

Relevant bachelor degree or higher qualification

At least 1 year of relevant work experience as Industrial Engineer or a related field

The ability to lead teams, have a positive attitude and winning mind

A strong understanding of lean manufacturing

Demonstrated experience supporting continuous improvement.

Take the lead in monitoring, identify, and execute processes to drive continuous improvement.

Ability to plan work and lead teams to ensure hourly targets are achieved.

Proven ability to prioritize workflow, while managing projects in a timely manner.

Ability to hold employees accountable to KPI’s and aligned to the company values, policies, and procedures.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills

Strong analytical thinking and technical skills are required.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The successful candidate will have a fervent desire to understand and be process driven.
