We’re currently seeking an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Electrician to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Leading Hand Electrician at DGE Electrical Services, you will play a key role in supervising and coordinating site-based works, while still being hands-on in delivering commercial electrical installations. Working closely with our Electrical Supervisors, Project Managers, and Engineers, you will help ensure that projects are delivered to scope, on time, and to our high-quality standards.

This full-time role is based out of our Burleigh Heads office, with work across various sites predominantly in Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead small site teams and subcontractors to deliver electrical works to program.

Read and interpret plans, specifications, and scope documents to coordinate site works.

Manage materials, tooling, and scheduling of daily activities to meet project timelines.

Provide hands-on electrical installation and oversee quality workmanship across tasks.

Work collaboratively with the site and office teams to identify and resolve issues.

Monitor site safety and compliance with DGE policies and WHS regulations.

Mentor apprentices and assist in their on-the-job learning and development.

Report project progress, site updates, and variations to supervisors and project managers.

Commercial fit outs and refurbishments

General power and communications

Switchboard upgrades and MSB works

Field lighting and sporting infrastructure

Medical and specialist installations

Small works, service, and maintenance

Requirements:

Queensland Electrical License

CPR certificate

Open class 'C', manual drivers license

Construction white card

Ability to carry out overtime if required

EWP and high risk licenses
