About the role

NewcomOz Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel / Truck Mechanic to join our team in our Carole Park, Queensland facility. This full-time role will see you play a vital part in maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy vehicles and machinery including our own ever-growing fleet. What you'll be doing

Diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicle components

Performing routine maintenance and servicing on trucks, heavy vehicles and machinery

Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timeframes

Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all work carried out

Identifying and escalating any parts or equipment that require replacement or repair

Adhering to all workshop policies, procedures and safety protocols

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in HCV mechanics, diesel fitting or a related field

Extensive experience as a Diesel / Truck Mechanic, ideally within the truck, trailer and heavy vehicle industry

Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Diesel / Truck Mechanic required

Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex diesel engine faults and vehicle breakdowns

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team

A current driver's license and your own tools
