Redlands Youngplants is a family-owned wholesale plant nursery located in Redland Bay, Brisbane, Queensland. We are looking for physically fit, active, enthusiastic, hardworking reliable nursery hands to join our friendly team. You must enjoy working outdoors, be passionate about plants, be able to work in a team and autonomously.

About the role

We have Full-time and Part-time Positions available in propagation, dispatch work and general nursery work

Propagation Nursery Hand:

Reporting to the propagation manager you will be part of a small team to propagate and maintain plants from within our wholesale nursery for sale and potting, you will also be able to work within our wholesale plant nursery as part of a team or autonomously.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Working within our propagation area collecting cuttings, preparing and planting cuttings

Pruning, fertilizing, and weeding plants

Picking and packing tube stock for dispatch

Tending to plants by hand watering

Must be a non-smoker

Wholesale Nursery Hand:

Reporting to the nursery and dispatch managers you will be part of a small team processing plants for dispatch, potting plants and general nursery work.

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

Picking, preparing and packing plant orders for dispatch from 140mm to 300mm pots

Pruning, staking, fertilizing, potting and weeding plants

Assisting with maintaining gardens

Cleaning work areas

Key Attributes:

Be physically fit as these roles are physical in nature

Is able to work well in a busy team environment

Willing to work outdoors in all-weather

Willing to work as part of a team and autonomously

Must be reliable and have a good work ethic

Follows directions easily

Self-motivated with initiative to take action

Eye for detail with plant maintenance and presentation

Own vehicle and drivers licence essential

ACDC ticket an advantage

While experience is not essential for potential propagation nursery hand, it would be an advantage for potential wholesale nursery hand.

Hours of work:-

Monday thru Thursday 7.15am - 3.45pm

Friday 7.00am - 1.00pm
