We are excited to announce an opening for a Manager, Psychology Registrar Programs within our Student Support & Specialist Programs directorate.

⦁ Location: Parramatta with access to flexible working arrangements available
⦁ Salary: Clerk Grade 11/12 with base salary ranging from $149,739 to $173,174 per annum, plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
⦁ Temporary part-time (2 days a week) opportunity up to 30 June 2028, with possibility for extension or conversion to ongoing

About the Student Support & Specialist Programs directorate
The Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate is responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and specialist programs to support student engagement and opportunities including Arts, Sport, Community Languages and International programs.

The Child Wellbeing and Mental Health Services team focuses on the delivery of student support services including support for students in the areas of child protection, mental health, wellbeing and complex needs.

The Assisted School Travel Program provides transportation services for students with additional needs from home to school and back to ensure all students are able to access education in NSW public schools.

Student opportunities across all areas are enhanced through partnerships with industry specialists and stakeholders.

About the role
The Manager, Psychology Registrar Programs supports the supervision of school counselling service staff who are undertaking Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) Registrar Programs and seeking Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE) in the area(s) of Clinical Psychology, Educational and Developmental Psychology and/or others. This role supports the strategic initiative to enhance workforce supply for the school counselling workforce.

Key knowledge and experience:
⦁ Knowledge of the delivery of high-quality psychology and counselling support in schools.
⦁ Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements:
⦁ Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and AoPE in the area of Clinical Psychology. Additional AoPEs desirable (Educational and Developmental, Clinical Neuropsychology, Forensic etc.)
⦁ Currency as a Board Approved Supervisor and Registrar Program Principal Supervisor AoP: Clinical Psychology. Additional AoP Registrar Program Principal Supervisor approvals desirable.
⦁ Hold a current and valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment (or willing to acquire one)
⦁ Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
