Plant Operator - Waste & Recycling | Temp to Perm

Pay Rate: $33 - $45 per hour + super (based on experience)

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking experienced Plant Operators to join a well-established operation in the waste management and recycling sector. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering strong job security, ongoing development, and excellent rates for experienced operators.

You'll be working with a modern fleet of machinery, all commissioned within the last 12 months.

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for operating a range of heavy equipment to support the processing and movement of materials on-site. Day and afternoon shifts are available, with potential for long-term, permanent employment.

Key Duties

Operate loaders, excavators, and other plant equipment

Complete pre-start checks and report maintenance needs

Load and move materials efficiently and safely

Work collaboratively with supervisors and team members to meet daily targets

Maintain clean and organised work areas

Complete shift logs and paperwork as required

What You'll Need

Minimum 2 years' experience as a plant operator in waste, recycling, or a related industry (e.g. construction, quarrying, civil, materials handling)

Current plant/machine operating tickets

Strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and site procedures

Good communication and ability to work well in a team

Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor environment
