About the role

We are seeking an experienced Carpenter or experienced third year apprentice to join our team at J Wellstead Enterprise PTY LTD' based around Ellenbrook, Western Australia. This full-time position will involve a range of stick roofing tasks to support the delivery of high-quality residential construction projects.

What you'll be doing

Undertake a variety of carpentry and roofing tasks, including framing, roofing, and the installation of cladding.

Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure work is completed to the required standard

Collaborate with the wider construction team to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects

Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations

What we're looking for:

Formal carpentry qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Carpentry, or demonstrated experience as a Carpenter

Competent in stick roofing

A strong work ethic

Strong practical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard of finish

Physically fit enough to work in this role

A commitment to workplace safety and a proactive approach to continuous improvement

A valid white card is a must-have, to be on the building site

A current WA driving license and car is highly preferred but a reliable transport to and from work is a must.
