About the Role:
This is a hands-on contract opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to support the finance team through a busy reporting and year-end period. The role requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within tight deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing detailed account reconciliations and maintaining general ledger accuracy
- Investigating and resolving reconciliation variances in a timely manner
- Assisting with preparation of statutory accounts and audit deliverables
- Supporting consolidation activities — full ownership experience highly regarded
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights for management and auditors
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and reporting timelines
- Assisting with year-end responsibilities and other ad hoc accounting tasks as required
- Engaging effectively with internal stakeholders across finance and operations
This role suits a technically strong accountant who is comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, structured environment.
Your Profile:
You are a CPA-qualified Financial Accountant (or equivalent) with proven experience in a medium-to-large, complex business environment. You bring a high level of accuracy, initiative, and professional integrity, combined with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
Key attributes:
- CPA qualified (or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience in financial accounting or reporting roles
- Strong reconciliation, GL, and financial analysis capability
- Prior exposure to large ERP systems — SAP experience preferred
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Consolidation experience highly desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working to strict deadlines
