About the role

Propel Business Group is seeking a skilled Accountant (CPA or CA) to join our dynamic team in South Perth, Western Australia. As a key member of our Accounting and Business Advisory division, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive financial services and strategic guidance to our growing client base.

What you'll be doing

Preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports

Conducting financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support clients' decision-making processes

Providing expert advice on tax planning, compliance, and strategic business initiatives

Collaborating with clients to develop and implement tailored accounting solutions

Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, legislation, and best practices

Overseeing and managing the workflow for a team of 3 accountants.

Mentoring and training junior team members to foster their professional development

What we're looking for

Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a professional services or advisory firm

Thorough understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients

Proficient in using accounting software, spreadsheets, and other relevant business technologies

A proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach to work
