About the role
This is a casual role for a Retail E-Commerce Assistant (Shopify & Mailchimp Specialist) at Origen Imports, based in Malvern, VIC 3144. You will be responsible for managing and optimising the company's online store on Shopify and email marketing activities through Mailchimp.
What you'll be doing
Manage daily updates of Origen Imports’ Shopify online store, including homepage optimisation, product and collection updates, website maintenance, and online merchandising support
Creating and scheduling engaging email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp to promote products, events, and special offers
Utilise Canva to design visually appealing graphics and promotional content that align with brand guidelines, collaborating with the team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels
Analyse website and email performance data to identify trends and opportunities for optimisation and improvement
Collaborate closely with the owner and retail team to ensure alignment between online activities and in-store operations
What we're looking for
Proven experience managing and optimising Shopify e-commerce platform
Proven experience using Mailchimp to design, build, and deploy effective campaigns
Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, content creation, and social media strategy
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
Passionate about small business, with a keen interest in e-commerce trends and best practices
A creative, tech-savvy, and highly organised professional with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution
Dependable team player with a proven ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently
Enjoys variety and thrives in dynamic retail, e-commerce, and marketing environments
Experience or a keen interest in fashion, lifestyle, or homewares is preferred
