Job Title: Management Accountant (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Southern Suburbs, Perth
Rate: $60 per hour + Super (Temp)
Salary: $120,000 + Super (Perm Transition)

About the Role We’re partnering with a respected public sector organisation in Perth’s southern corridor to recruit a hands-on Management Accountant. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering the chance to step into a dynamic role within a mission-driven, community-focused environment, supporting financial decision-making at both an operational and strategic level.

You’ll be joining a well-structured team with strong systems, modern reporting tools, and a collaborative culture that values continuous improvement and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management reports, cost centre reviews, and variance analysis
• Support budget preparation, quarterly forecasts, and financial modelling
• Post and reconcile journals for accruals, prepayments, and project adjustments
• Maintain general ledger integrity and conduct balance sheet reconciliations
• Partner with departments and business units on budget tracking and financial queries
• Assist with year-end processes, audit preparations, and statutory obligations
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Use ERP systems and reporting tools (e.g., Workday, TechnologyOne, Power BI, Excel) to deliver financial insights

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
• Experience in a commercial or management accounting role
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement ability
• Excellent Excel skills; confident using large ERP systems (Workday or TechOne)
• Previous exposure to public sector finance or grant/acquittal reporting will be highly regarded
