Our Client:
A Queensland Government department dedicated to improving customer service, supporting small and family businesses, and driving digital and data-enabled government solutions. The department values diversity, inclusion, and a positive workplace culture.

The Role:
Lead architecture and solution design for directory and identity services across private cloud and Microsoft Azure environments. Shape and deliver secure, integrated identity solutions that support government priorities and operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead design and management of directory, identity, tenant, and application integration solutions.
• Analyse business needs and system specs to align technology solutions with program goals.
• Solve complex problems across Active Directory, Entra ID, VMware private cloud, Azure, and application portfolios.
• Produce architecture diagrams, solution designs, and documentation compliant with government frameworks.
• Advise stakeholders on enhancements and maintain alignment with approved designs during implementation.
• Collaborate effectively with teams and external partners to ensure seamless solution delivery.
• Support out-of-hours work as needed to meet project deadlines.

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years enterprise experience in Active Directory and identity architecture.
• Strong expertise in AD forests, domains, trusts, GPO design, PKI, AD FS, Entra Connect, and tenant management.
• Proven track record designing large-scale AD and Entra ID solutions.
• Ability to assess application dependencies and incorporate into identity solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant Microsoft certifications highly regarded.
• Familiarity with government ICT standards and cyber security frameworks desirable.
