ROLE DESCRIPTION

Learning Support teachers teach students who have difficulties with or barriers to their learning. These classes endeavour to improve the students' literacy and numeracy skills and reinforce key concepts that compliment core subject areas. The students also participate in activities related to special events throughout the year which include excursions.

Applicants must have a genuine love of learning and be able to demonstrate a commitment to student centred-learning, collaborative practice, pastoral care, co-curricular responsibilities and the values of the College.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of a Diploma of Education (Special Needs or comparative major)

Current registration with Teachers Registration Board Western Australia

Current Working With Children Check

Willingness to obtain Accreditation for Teachers

The ability to teach Religious Education would be advantageous but not essential
