Certificate III in Children Services

Kids on Mullum Child Care Centre has an exciting opportunity for 3 Assistant educators, to join our amazing team!

We are a 118-place privately owned centre catering for Babies, Toddlers and Kindergarten aged children.
We are open 7.00am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday.

In September 2023 the centre received an overall EXCEEDING rating, acknowledging we are centre that goes above the standard of care.

Our philosophy is broken down into 5 areas that we feel are important elements of a high-quality service; Play Based Learning Programs that reflect the VEYLDF as well as the Aboriginal 8 ways of Learning Pedagogy. We believe in having High Expectations of all children and see children as capable learners. We have an inclusive environment and encourage everyone to have access to our service. Our relationships with families and children is, of the highest priority for us, as well as having committed educators that have a love for early childhood education!

We have 3 positions available; 2 x Full – Time Certificate III Assistant and 1x casual Certificate III Assistant position for our centre.

You must: be over 18 years old

Have a Cert III or equivalent, in Children's Services.

An ACEQA approved qualification

Must have the right to work in Australia or have an eligible Australian Work Visa

A current Working With Children Check

Approved Asthma / /Anaphylaxis/First Aid qualifications

Approved Child Protection training

Approved Food Safety and Allergens training

We would also like:

Good communication & writing skills – Fluent English

Live in close vicinity of the area

Able to use your initiative

Knowledge of National Quality Framework

Reliable

Able to work in a team

Ability to engage in active supervision

Proven ability and experience to be able to assist room leaders with implementing and engaging children in the programs and assisting with observation taking, extensions of learning based on the children's interests and developmental needs.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.

Highly developed written and interpersonal communication skills

Demonstrated computer skills
