About This Opportunity

This position will be managing a senior dance troupe, choreographing and developing technical skills of the dancers in the styles of jazz, lyrical and contemporary routines.

Casual position

Days and times as agreed with the Director of Arts

Starting Term 1, 2026

Engaged for approximately 2 to 6 hours per week

You must be available to work before or after school hours, as well as attend events scheduled during evenings and weekends

Casual hourly base rate - $42.7139 to $44.5264 (commensurate with experience)

About You

To be successful in the role you will have:

A valid Queensland Working with Children Check Positive Paid Employee Notice.

Previous performance and dance teaching experience required.

Advanced choreographic skills.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely with the Director of Arts and students to deliver programs.

Effective communication skills – both verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively with teenage girls and their parents, as well as College Arts team.

Work independently and demonstrate initiative in applying work practices and procedures.

It is a condition of employment that all staff members, unless otherwise eligible for an exemption, must possess a current Positive Notice or Blue Card issued under the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 before commencing employment with the College. Volunteer Blue Cards will be required to be transferred to Paid Employment cards.
