The Opportunity

Our client is one of Australia's most respected and successful ASX listed manufacturing businesseses with a rapidly growing global footprint. This is an outstanding opportunity to join the Commercial Finance team as the business continues to corporatize and grow its accounting team whilst embarking on the next stage of their strategic growth.

The Challenge

This role is pivotal in partnering the Chief Operating Officer to deliver commercial insight, financial management, and business improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for business unit
• Providing commercial analysis to support business decisions, including product, customer, market, and profitability analysis
• Participating in key contract negotiations, ensuring clear understanding of financial and commercial implications
• Driving capital project assessment, transaction evaluation, and ongoing reporting
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, including inventory, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing management reports and presentations for the CEO, CFO, COO and site leadership team
• Deliver process improvement and strategic cost initiatives
• Act as the key commercial partner at the site manufacturing facility
• Supporting internal and external audit processes

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Ideally, you are a chartered accountant and started your career with PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY or a reputable tier 2 firm
• 8+ years senior commercial/finance experience in a dynamic and complex ASX/MNE manufacturing or production-based business
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and implement corrective action
• Proven ability to partner with senior operational leaders to drive outcomes
• Hands-on approach to financial management and reporting
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
• Innovative mindset with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency
