Make a difference behind the scenes.
At YACWA, we believe young people should be at the heart of change — and we're looking for someone who can keep our organisation running like clockwork while we do it!
We're seeking a Corporate Services Officer to join our passionate, values-driven team. You'll play a key role in supporting the finance, admin, and governance functions that keep YACWA strong - from managing accounts and payroll to supporting the CEO and Board.
If you love a mix of detail, problem-solving and teamwork - and want your skills to contribute to real social impact - this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Keep our financial systems humming – processing invoices, payroll, and reconciliations in Xero.
Provide first-class administrative support to the management team and Board.
Assist the Finance Manager and CEO with governance, reporting and audits.
Coordinate bookings, meetings, travel and office logistics.
Help maintain organised records, registers and communications.
What You'll Bring
Bookkeeping or finance admin experience (Xero a must!).
Super-organised, detail-loving approach to work.
Excellent communicator who takes ownership and pride in their work.
Able to juggle multiple priorities and stay calm under pressure.
A genuine interest in supporting young people and community impact.
Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping or finance administration experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word
Unrestricted right to work in Australia
Essential Criteria
Proven experience in finance administration including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
Experience using Xero Accounting Software, including payroll processing and bank reconciliations.
Strong administration and organisational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word) and general digital literacy.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment.
Commitment to YACWA’s values, youth participation, inclusion, human rights and to safeguarding principles and practices.
Desirable Criteria
Experience supporting executive or board-level administration (e.g., minute-taking, agenda preparation).
Understanding of not-for-profit governance or community sector operations.
Bookkeeping or finance-related qualification (e.g. Certificate IV or Diploma).
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a National Police Check (NPC).
You don’t need to have these to apply, but you must be willing to obtain them if selected for the role.
Why You'll Love Working Here
Part-time - 4 days a week (0.8 FTE) and flexible working hours.
A small, passionate team that values innovation, ideas and collaboration.
Central Perth location close to transport and good coffee.
Be part of something bigger — helping amplify the voices of young Western Australians.
What YACWA Offers
Additional paid time off during the end of year office shutdown period.
Links to extensive networks in the youth and community services sector.
Access to a free and confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Learning and development opportunities to build your skills and develop your potential, as well as opportunities to contribute across portfolio areas in the organisation.
Location:
Office base: Level 5, 200 Adelaide Terrace, East Perth, WA, 6006
Accessibility:
The YACWA office is wheelchair accessible, with accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms.
Please submit your CV with a cover letter addressing the selection criteria.
