Your opportunity:
- The Executive Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and is directly accountable for the overall performance of the Bundaberg and Rural Facilities within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS), This will include financial, activity, service access, patient flow and clinical governance related performance indicators as defined in the content of this job description.
- The Executive Director – Bundaberg and Rurals will manage a budget of approximately $292 million, directly be responsible for 1500 staff across Bundaberg and the North Burnett (Childers, Biggenden, Gayndah, Mundubbera, Eidsvold, Monto, Gin Gin and Mt Perry) and be responsible for all clinical, operational and human resource issues.
This is an Executive Contract role with an initial contract period of three years with the option of extension.

Our offer:
You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $284,962 p.a., comprising salary between $202,404 - $220,983 p.a., motor vehicle allowance, employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) and motor vehicle allowance of $28,408, (Contract position for an initial three (3) years with the option of extension) (HES2H) (Applications will remain current for 12 months). About Wide Bay Hospital & Health Service
As a patient of this Hospital and Health Service, you have the choice to be treated as a private or public patient. The Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service provides some of the most advanced specialist services available, incorporating all major health specialties including Medicine, Surgery, Psychiatry, Oncology, Women's and Newborn services as well as Trauma Services.
Private patients are asked to complete a National Private Patient Hospital Claim Form. This will be provided to your health fund detailing your treatment and your consent to utilise your private health insurance.
To minimise any inconvenience to private patients, the majority of the Medical Specialists participate in efficient billing practices including 'no gap' arrangements with major health funds. This ensures that your medical bills are handled directly by your health fund, rather than patients having to liaise with medicare and their health fund to receive rebates.
